= Crusoe and Friday looked very fierce when they returned from home with weapons.
2. How did they approach the prisoners?
= They had a gun on each shoulder, two pistols, a knife and an axe in their belts. In their rabbit-skin caps and goat-skin coats they looked frightening. They made their way among the trees till they came near the three prisoners.
3. Why did Crusoe shout to them?
= Crusoe shouted to them to know their identity.

1. What frightened the prisoners?
= The sight of Friday and Crusoe frightened the prisoners.
2. What did Crusoe say to them?
= Crusoe said them that he was their friend and had come there to help them.
C.
1. Who were the prisoners?
= The prisoners were the captain of the ship, his officer and a passenger on the ship.
2. How had they come to the island?
= The men of the ship were disobedient to the captain. They had fought against the captain. They were going to kill him and those two friends of him. They then changed their minds and decided to leave them there to die on that deserted island.
3. How many guns had the sailors?
= The sailors had only two guns with them and the one which they had left in the boat. Three altogether.

1. What promises did the champion make?
= The captain promised that he would obey the orders of Crusoe and if they get back the ship, he would take Friday and Crusoe back to England.
2. What did Crusoe give to the three men?
= Crusoe gave a gun and a pistol to the captain and a gun to each of his friends.
3. Where did they find five of the sailors?
= They found five of the sailors on the other side of the island asleep under some trees.
E.
1. How many of the five sailors were shot?
= Three of the five sailors were shot.
2. What did the rest of the sailors promise?
= The rest of the sailors promised to help the captain.
3. What was the result of the battle?
= Friday and Crusoe along with the captain and his men won the battle. The then had five prisoners and three dead men.
